Team Newcastle University v Danum Doncaster Eagles Preview

Team Newcastle have started their NBL season on fire winning all 7 NBL Division 3 league games and qualifying for the National Shield Quarter Final. The Knights have won 27 league games in a row and will be ready to keep that going this coming Sunday. What is certain is that Danum are going to be the toughest test to date in the NBL. Danum boast an experienced roster with players such as Hylands (Former BBL player for Leeds Force), Matthew Martin (Form NBL Div 1 player for Northumbria) and Josh Metcalfe (Former NBL Div 1 player for Leeds Met Carnegie) as well as a host of other players that have came through, British Basketball's legendary Coach, Bob Martin's Danum programme.

The Knights boast a very experienced and exciting roster with players now coming back from injury, NCAA Division 1 shooter Robbie Lemons' returns to the roster as well as Tayo Oyefusi who returned to the Knights after a brief spell at NBL Division 1 team Lancashire Spinners, Brian McCotter (Former BBL player for Newcastle Eagles) and Tom Robinson (Former NBL Division 1 player for Tees Valley Mohawks). With Matt Brown and George Beard on fire against Birmingham Mets and Sefton and big man Dave Wintersgill playing, the Knights will be looking to keep their unbeaten streak in tact and continue their insurgence through the NBL.
